IOC President, Thomas Bach, addresses the ANOC General Assembly with WADA reform, Rio 2016 and Pat Hickey covered in his keynote.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President, Thomas Bach, Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) President, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah and Qatari Prime Minister H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani today addressed the largest ever ANOC General Assembly.

1200 delegates from across the Olympic Movement gathered in the Middle East for the very first time. The assembly was attended by representatives from 205 NOCs as well as IOC President Thomas Bach and delegates from International Federations (IF), Organising Committees (OCOGs) and 2024 Candidate Cities. The General Assembly is being hosted in partnership with the Qatar Olympic Committee.

In Bach's keynote speech, the IOC President covered the growing popularity and global audience of the Olympics, the reforms to WADA after a difficult year,  and Pat Hickey's detainment in Brazil.
